On the evening of Saturday 21 March, at the Blue Mountains City Art Gallery, Mara interpreted Tia Madden’s The Uncode as a graphic score, interpreting the shapes and arrangements as rhythm and melody. Blending viola, voice and electronic processing, Mara wove layers of sound, shifting the symbols from static objects into a sonic terrain.
